BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The parents of a 6-year-old child have been charged for leaving the youngster unattended inside their car in the parking lot of the Parx Casino on Monday, police said.

Chunyan Wang and To Yeung, both 44 years old and from Brooklyn, N.Y., were charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sent to Bucks County Prison after being arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone on 10 percent of $30,000 bail.

Bensalem Police responded at 11 a.m. Monday to the parking lot of Parx Casino for the report of a 6-year-old child left unattended in a vehicle, Sgt. Glenn Vandegrift said.

Parx Security personnel had spotted the child alone in the vehicle and contacted the police.

The parents were located on the gaming floor and had been in the casino for 45 minutes. Police said they left the child in the car alone when the outside temperature was below freezing.
