Police shoot and kill armed suspect in casino who was ‘making threats,’ police say

LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (WKRC) – Officers said they exchanged fire with an armed suspect after he was “chasing a female” in the casino’s hotel and “making threats.”

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to a call of an aggressive man who was chasing a woman at the Hollywood Casino Hotel while threatening her. By the time police arrived to the scene on Saturday morning, they were informed that shots had been fired.

The officers said they took the elevator to reach the suspect. When it opened, “they encountered an armed adult male,” according to a release.

Authorities said “shots were exchanged” between the officers and the suspect, after which the suspect was pronounced dead.
