Andrew MacDonald no longer RWS chief casino officer

Andrew MacDonald has “stepped down” from his position as chief casino officer at Resorts World Sentosa Pte Ltd. The casino firm runs Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), one half of Singapore’s casino duopoly, and which is a property controlled by Genting Singapore Ltd.

Genting Singapore announced Mr MacDonald’s departure in a filing to the Singapore Exchange on Saturday, stating: “Mr Andrew MacDonald has stepped down from his position as a director and chief casino officer of Resorts World Sentosa to pursue his personal interests.”

His exit took effect on Friday (November 1).

Mr MacDonald had assumed the role of chief casino officer at Resorts World Sentosa (pictured in a file photo) in September 2022, as noted in a Genting Singapore press release from that time. He was responsible for overseeing the overall casino business at the property.

Before joining Resorts World Sentosa, he held other roles within the global casino industry, including as corporate senior vice president and chief casino officer at Las Vegas Sands Corp. He had also served as executive vice president of casino operations at the latter group’s Marina Bay Sands property, Singapore’s other casino resort and Resorts World Sentosa’s direct competitor.
