BRISTOL, Va. (WCYB) — Update: The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol has opened.
The guitar smash event was held and folks who had lined up were let in the doors.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol is set to open Thursday.
The iconic guitar smash is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. The grand opening is set for noon. We plan to stream those events on our website and social media platforms.
There are some traffic changes to be aware of as well.
Left turns will be prohibited at multiple locations on Gate City Highway and some traffic lights will be turned off.
Those traveling to the casino from Interstate 81 north are asked to take Exit 74A and those traveling from I-81 south are asked to take Exit 1A.
