The $450 million Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy in Waddell, Arizona, will open its doors to the public on December 18, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
A private event for Tohono O’odham nation members and dignitaries, who will run the casino, takes place at 10:00 a.m., featuring remarks from nation and casino leaders and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy features an 184,000 square-foot casino floor with 900 Class III slot machines, a poker room, a retail sportsbook, and table games including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. It is the only Arizona casino to include a Morton’s The Steakhouse, along with multiple other dining venues and will create more than 1,000 jobs, according to the Tribe.
Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks will eventually expand to include a hotel, conference center, an outdoor pool, recreational amenities, and an amphitheater with event lawn space.
