BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Iconic rockers Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are coming to FireKeepers Casino and Hotel in Battle Creek this spring.
The “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll” musician is set to take the stage at the casino’s event center on April 4, with tickets going on sale Jan. 25 beginning at 10 a.m.
“Joan Jett is the epitome of rock rebellion, and her legendary energy will ignite the FireKeepers stage,” Jim Wise, FireKeepers VP of marketing, said. “Get ready for a night of iconic hits and raw, electrifying power that only she can deliver.”
Jett and producer Kenny Laguna co-founded Blackheart Records, the band’s independent label, “from the trunk of Kenny’s Cadillac” after numerous rejections from other labels, according to organizers.
Jett is known for her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and songs “Bad Reputation,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover.” She was also portrayed by Kristen Stewart in the 2010 biopic film, The Runaways.
Tickets can be purchased at the hotel box office or online.
