Missouri riverboat casinos generated revenues of $164.7 million in December, a 3 percent decrease compared to December 2023, when casinos collected more than $168.9 million. According to the report published by the Missouri Gaming Commission, four of the state’s 13 casinos reported revenue growth compared to December 2023.

Three reported no change compared to the previous year, and the remainder saw revenues decrease. Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville had the highest growth, with an 18.6 percent year-over-year increase from $23 million to $24.7 million in December 2024. River City Casino Hotel reported the second-highest growth, generating $22.8 million in December, a 6 percent increase from December 2023.

Hollywood Casino also reported growth for December, generating more than $22.3 million in revenue, a 4.8 percent year-over-year increase, and Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau, which generated $6.1 million in December 2024, a 2.4 percent year-over-year increase. Finally, Argosy Casino also reported growth compared to last December, reporting $13.8 million in revenue, a 0.5 percent increase.

Mark Twain Casino had the highest decline out of Missouri’s casinos, with a change of 21 percent, going from $3.2 million in December 2023 to $2.5 million in revenue last month. After this, Isle of Capri Boonville Casino, Harrah’s Kansas City Hotel & Casino, Bally’s Kansas City Casino, Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles, St. Jo Frontier Casino and Horseshoe St. Louis reported a year-over-year decline in revenue.

Despite revenue declines this month, Bally’s previously unveiled its partnership with investor group Osage River Gaming and Convention on a proposed development to bring a casino and hotel complex to the Lake of the Ozarks.
