NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Feb. 19, 2025) – An evening of Vegas thrills without the risks will again benefit the Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured.

Clinic Director Pat Warther says their annual Casino Royale fundraiser is Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center.

Warther says the United Way of Tuscarawas County sponsors the event that has become a main revenue source for the organization.

“We rely on the generosity of our sponsors and people that attend to help raise money for the clinic. That money is used to help support our office to make sure that we can provide free medical care for the working uninsured of Tuscarawas County,” Warther said.

Warther says those who an inexperienced can learn how to play the various card and table games at the event – using play money – for the chance to win tickets for prizes.

Admission is $60 at the door or in advance online through the United Way of Tuscarawas County.

The evening will also feature a silent auction and a cash bar.
