TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Valeo Behavioral Health cashed out at the casino Wednesday.
Prairie Band Casino and Resort brought a check over to the clinic for $4,814. The folks at Valeo Behavioral Health said help like this enables them to continue the support they provide to those in need.
“The need is so great here at Valeo,” Aimee Copp-Hasty, Valeo Development Director, said. “We have people come through our crisis center. We have a homeless outreach team. We serve people who are unsheltered, that aren’t insured, or are underinsured.”
The money was raised from ‘Charity Bingo’ held throughout the month. Half of the proceeds went toward this donation, while winners kept the other half.
