Removal of Ocean Casino Resort’s iconic “OCEAN” lettering began Thursday, to be replaced by new LED signage by early April, the casino announced.
The work is being done by Eastern Sign Tech of Burlington.
Once installed, the casino’s new signage will include more than 7,000 puck lights that can glow red, green, blue and white in “an endless array of dynamic displays.”
The LED technology will also be energy efficient, requiring 70% less power than a comparable neon sign, the casino said.
The installation of the new letters is among the last steps as the casino has updated its branding over the past few years.
