What’s happening with a new casino?
Well, to be clear, we’re not getting a new casino in the Treasure Valley. Yet.
Recently, the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Reservation picked up almost 600 acres, between Mountain Home and Boise. What are they planning to do with said plot of land? You guessed it. Build an enormous casino.
Now, as of the writing of this article, the project is still listed as “potential,” meaning there’s a chance we may not be able to throw our money at some shiny new slot machines in the near future.
