Here’s What’s New This Summer At Ocean Casino Resort

Ocean Casino Resort is unveiling another stage of renovations with new amenities and restaurants, and freshening up more of its rooms and suites in time for summer.

In 2022, Ocean sank a considerable amount of money into room upgrades and added the Gallery Bar, Book, and Games. Now these changes.

This summer, Ocean says it will spend $50 million on improvements and additions.

You’ve got to like a casino business that realizes the importance of keeping things fresh, new, and interesting.

What’s New At Ocean Casino This Summer?

Ocean Casino Resort is adding an indoor mini golf course with a bar.

Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar will cover 8,000 square feet on two floors and feature hologram installations — a massive LED display that shows images and animations.

One of the holograms planned at the casino-level venue is a 12-foot-long great white shark that will hover over the bar.

The Ocean has a mid-July timetable for the indoor mini golf and bar.

The casino will also double the size of its Asian Gaming space, adding more tables for Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.

The renovation project includes improvements to 559 hotels and suites, finishing the upgrade of the resort’s 1,860 rooms.

New Restaurants at Ocean

What I am most excited about are the upcoming new food options at Ocean.

Expected early this summer, La Scala’s Fire, the Italian American restaurant with seven existing locations around Philly and South Jersey, is taking the spot next to the mini golf.

Other new restaurants include the cheesesteak shop High Steaks and a smoothie bar called Blend, a good place for acai bowls.

Busy restaurateur Stephen Starr plans to open two new — and as yet, unnamed restaurants this summer at Ocean Casino — one that serves a Thanksgiving menu year-round, along with comfort foods like pigs in a blanket, tuna tacos, pierogis, and home-style meatloaf.

The other Starr eatery has a French theme, serving a prix-fixe menu of steak, salmon, and lobster with frites.

It should be an exciting summer of new additions at Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort.
