Hackers are threatening to release blueprints of the Catawba Nation’s Two Kings Casino, including details on restricted areas like chip vault locations and surveillance camera placement.
Cybercriminal gang Anubis posted a ransom threat on its dark website on Wednesday with a timer counting down until its public release, Cybernews first reported. Outlets that cover cyber issues offered conflicting reports on when those documents will allegedly be released.
The Herald was unable to verify the timeline, but casino leaders said they are handling the situation.
Trent Troxel, vice president of the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority, which oversees the casino, said the documents in question are outdated and involve previous design and construction plans.
