POLSON — Back in late 2020, the pandemic forced us to take a hard look at how and where we do business as the KwaTaqNuk Resort and Casino. As demand kept growing, it became clear that we needed more room for guests to relax, for employees to thrive, and for new ideas to take shape.

That strategic search led us to an exciting partnership with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT). The Tribes offered S&K Gaming a 10-acres to develop on within a 79-acre parcel to make room for tomorrow’s possibilities. From day one, we knew this site could do more than host a larger casino. It could create new jobs, attract visitors, and spark fresh economic activity throughout the region.

Design work kicked off in early 2022. Over the next three years, architects and tribal leaders refined multiple concepts until one vision rose to the top: 400 Horses Casino. Key features were locked in:

Panoramic-view restaurant – positioned for unforgettable sunsets and year-round scenery.

Built-in expansion zones – future-ready space for a hotel and an event center without disrupting daily operations.

Guest-first flow – wider gaming floor, upgraded air systems, and flexible entertainment areas.

Fast-forward to April 2025: the final plans were approved, the permits secured, and the ground has now been broken. Over the coming months you’ll see steel rise, parking take shape, and the vision become reality one milestone at a time.

Stay tuned for our next update, where we’ll share construction timelines, hiring outlooks, and a sneak peek at the restaurant concept. The journey has begun, and we’re glad you’re on it with us.

400 Horses Casino will offer 35,000-square feet of entertainment featuring over 300 gaming machines, quality dining, great views in a relaxing and fun atmosphere, a true destination experience for Mission Valley guests. Early projections set completion for June of 2026. Stayed tuned for regular updates.
