LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Staff at Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort have donated more than 12,543 food items to local food pantries as part of their annual fall food drive.
The donations, collected from September 1 through September 30, were contributed by members from various departments, including player development, casino, general and administrative, hotel, and food and beverage teams.
The food items were distributed to two local organizations: Bullhead Regional Food Bank and Colorado River Food Bank.
Aquarius and Edgewater, known for their charitable initiatives, plan to continue their spirit of giving into the holiday season with two annual traditions: Feed-A-Family and the Christmas Tree Silent Auction, both in their 13th year.
From November 1 through December 25, the Feed-A-Family program will see the casinos donate a box of holiday food, sufficient to feed a family of four, to local food pantries for every 25,000 True Rewards points contributed.
The Christmas Tree Silent Auction, running from November 8 through December 14, will feature nine uniquely-themed Christmas trees adorned with festive ornaments and lights.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Feed-A-Family initiative. Bids can be placed at any time at the True Rewards center at either Aquarius or Edgewater once the auction begins.
