Caesars Entertainment has launched its first proprietary online casino game, Caesars Palace Signature Multihand Blackjack Surrender, further diversifying its digital gaming portfolio. The game is live exclusively at Caesars Palace Online Casino in New Jersey and represents the first release from the company’s newly formed in-house development studio, Empire Creative.

Key Takeaways

  • Caesars has launched its first proprietary game, a multihand blackjack title, in New Jersey
  • Developed by Caesars’ own Empire Creative, the game features customizable audio, visuals, and advanced betting options
  • Future rollouts planned across Horseshoe and Caesars platforms with full Caesars Rewards integration

This release represents Caesars’ debut as a developer of online casino content. The new game will be rolled out to other jurisdictions and online entities within the company’s ecosystem, including Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Palace Online Casino.

The growth will enhance the game’s reach in consumer bases of regulated online gaming states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, and Ontario, subject to local gaming legislation and licensure.

In the new game, players can experience a range of features. These include left and right-handed modes, customizable table felts with Caesars Palace’s laurel wreath logo, and additional betting options such as surrender, insurance, and even money bets.

The interface also includes a turbo mode for faster play and a customizable audio atmosphere with eight player-selectable proprietary soundtracks. Additional customization is provided with selectable voiceovers and ergonomic design considerations like the Safety Net feature that aims to reduce accidental in-game activity.

“Bringing our first proprietary game to market is a major milestone in our mission to create world-class, in-house developed gaming content,” said Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital.

“We’re excited to continuously expand our in-house content offerings, complementing the excellent portfolio of games we’ve secured through external providers. This launch showcases the strength of our new in-house studio team and underscores our commitment to player-centric innovation, creating experiences that cater to a wide variety of preferences and playstyles.”

Caesars’ digital expansion

Caesars’ announcement of its first in-house online casino game is not the only online casino-related news to grace the company in recent weeks.

At the end of April, the operator announced it would extend its partnership with game developer AGS, launching its Triple Coin Treasures brand on Caesars’ online platforms. Additionally, the extended collaboration included an exclusive launch of Shamrock Fortunes with further launches planned throughout 2025.

“Our expanded partnership with Caesars is a major milestone in AGS’ interactive growth strategy,” said Zoe Ebling, Vice President of Interactive at AGS.

“Bringing our proven titles, like Shamrock Fortunes, online for the first time allows us to reach players in a whole new way while honoring the retail roots of these games. We’re especially excited to co-develop a Caesars-branded version of one of our classic games and to continue building momentum with new launches that blend innovation, familiarity, and fun.”
