Total Nevada gaming revenue fell 0.47 per cent year-over-year in April to $1.234bn, while the Las Vegas Strip fell 2.88 per cent, marking the third straight month of year-over-year declines.
However, the Las Vegas Locals market improved, with revenue increasing 3.20 per cent.
On the Strip, a significant rise in baccarat revenue offset a fall in blackjack revenue while slot revenue decreased 5.33 per cent. Blackjack experienced worse hold and lower table drop during the month.
Comparisons for April will be one-on-one as it had the same number of weekend days both this year and last, though the timing of the Easter holiday shifted falling in March last year vs. April this year.
Meanwhile, total visitation in April fell 5.1 per cent as consumer uncertainty amid ongoing government policy changes more than offset a strong event schedule, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said.
