A hotel and casino in Los Angeles, California, US, has opened its doors to the local community in response to the wildfires gripping the area.
The Commerce Casino and Hotel is allowing the use of hotel accommodations for employees and families under mandatory evacuation orders.
“The casino is working closely with community partners to address critical needs and provide resources where they are most needed,” the company added.
BBC News reported on Thursday morning that at least five wildfires have taken hold in LA and parts of neighbouring counties, with three “completely uncontained.”
