Cedar Rapids City Council passed a second and third, final reading of a rezoning ordinance for the new Cedar Crossing Casino and Entertainment Center Tuesday.
The rezoning ordinance allows for changes to the layout and project plans by making the area a Planned Unit Development. That means they’ll be able to get input on the landscaping, parking, and the final design, including flood mitigation efforts.
There is still a legal battle over Linn County’s gaming license.
A hearing was previously scheduled in Louisa County court Tuesday, but that’s been pushed back.
A judge is expected to set a new date in the next week or so to hear the case.
