Colorado casinos generated more than $100.6 million in revenue for March, up 4.9% from last March’s $95.9 million, the figures, by the Colorado Department of Revenue reported.
Slot machines contributed the most, generating $85.6 million, up from $3.3 million last year, while table games produced $14.9 million, up $1.4 million.
The Black Hawk region’s 15 casinos recorded $77.2 million for the month, compared to $16 million for Cripple Creek’s 12 casinos and $7.3 million for Central City’s six casinos.
Black Hawk casinos and Cripple Creek casinos generated year-over-year increases of 11% and 13%, respectively, while Central City casinos were down a little more than 1%.
Tax revenue from combined casino gaming rose from $17.5 million last March to $18.6 million this year.
