Cole, who gained popularity through his award-winning role on the ABC sitcom “Black-ish,” has become a popular stand-up act featured in three Netflix comedy specials since 2019. His latest special, “OK, Mister,” was released in September.

Beginning his comedy career in 1993, Cole spent most of his early years performing stand-up in various clubs and venues to hone his craft.

In 2009, he joined the writing staff for “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” on NBC, leading him to become a writer for “Conan” on TBS from 2010 to 2012. Appearing frequently in comedic bits for both broadcasts, Cole was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and three Writers Guild of America Awards.
