PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Comedian Jay Pharoah is coming to Portsmouth!
The Saturday Night Live alumni will be performing a standup comedy show at the Rivers Casino Portsmouth on March 29 at 8 p.m.
Pharoah is well known for his comedic impressions of former President Barack Obama, Will Smith, Denzel Washington and Chris Tucker during his six seasons on Saturday Night Live. He also has been featured in films including Get a Job, Top Five, Ride Along, Intramural and Lola Versus. Pharoah has voiced characters in Family Guy, BoJack Horseman, and Robot Chicken.
He is a Hampton Roads native who often gives back to the community by providing scholarships for fine arts students through his nonprofit Pharoah Phamily Phoundation. Back in September, Rivers Casino Portsmouth hosted the nonprofit’s Phall Ball fundraiser.
“We are thrilled to welcome back hometown hero, Jay Pharoah, and look forward to bringing some of SNL’s best belly laughs to The Event Center,” said Steve Tortorello, Vice President of Marketing, Rivers Casino Portsmouth. “Jay’s talent, humor, and connection to the local community will make this show especially memorable and enjoyable for our guests.”
