Threats at Quechan Casino reported
Quechan Casino security staff members reported an individual who allegedly made threats to shoot up or blow up the business.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs show the case was reported to the sheriff’s office at 11:47 p.m. on May 20.
According to the logs, the individual was staying at the hotel.
The sheriff’s office was unable to make contact with the individual, and it was unknown if he left the casino or was asleep in his room, the logs read.
The threat came after the casino’s regular customer was upset about the room he rented, as it smelled dirty.
The customer, who was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance, threatened to shoot the place up if he did not get a cleaner room. The customer was given an alternative room but was not heard from after entering the room. The client was not seen in the casino either.

Driver found with firearm, ammunition
A driver was stopped early on Wednesday with a concealed firearm, according to Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs.
The driver was stopped at Interstate 8 and Algodones Road at 1:46 a.m. while driving a white Chevrolet Cruze.
The driver was given a verbal warning for having an unloaded Glock 27 handgun in the vehicle’s glove compartment. Deputies found magazines with ammunition in the trunk. The driver was advised to secure the firearm in the trunk and move the ammunition to another area.

Man booked with $100,000 bail
A man was arrested for being a felon in possession or acquisition of firearms and illegal possession of ammunition.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs read that the individual was detained at 12:04 p.m. on May 20 at Palm Drive. Deputies learned the suspect had an outstanding felony warrant.
The logs show Chayce Wolfe Guerin, 44, was booked into the county jail at 2:03 p.m. on May 20 on charges of being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.

Man with out-of-county arrest warrant intercepted
Customs and Border Protection agents detained a man at the Calexico East Port of Entry on Tuesday evening with an out-of-county arrest warrant.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs read that CBP called the sheriff’s office at 10:48 p.m. on May 20 to report the case.
Deputies arrived at the port of entry and later booked the suspect into the county jail.
According to the logs, Javier Cervantes Garcia, 35, was booked without bail into the county jail at 1:06 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21.

Man with out-of-county warrant caught
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs show that Calexico police officers arrested a man on Second Street on an out-of-county warrant.
According to the logs, Kevin Cervantes, 19, was booked into the county jail at 6:25 a.m. on May 20 with a $50,000 bail.

Man caught for threats, injuries
Calexico police officers arrested a man on Blair Avenue on charges of inflicting corporal injuries on a spouse or cohabitant and threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs show Erick Alejandro Vargas Martinez, 30, was booked into the county jail at 2:23 a.m. on May 21 with a $50,000 bail.

Imperial County Probation Department agents booked a man into the county jail for probation violation.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs read that Luis Cardenas, 30, was booked without bail into the county jail at 9:55 a.m. on May 20.

Man sought for arson arrested
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man in this city under local charges of arson of an inhabited structure or property and exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs show Roger Neal James, 66, was booked into the county jail at 10:56 a.m. on May 20 with a $20,000 bail.

Brawley police officers arrested a man on charges of grand theft, receipt of knowingly stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs read that Martyn Rafael Horta, 30, was booked into the county jail at 11:38 a.m. on May 20 with a $10,000 bail.

Imperial County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Calipatria State Prison inmate on charges of being a prisoner in possession of a weapon.
Imperial County Sheriff’s Office call logs read that Robert Nevarez, 29, was booked into the county jail at 12:48 p.m. on May 20. His bail was set at 25,000.
