Las Vegas (KSNV) — El Cortez Hotel & Casino has announced the completion of its property-wide expansion, marking the latest phase of a multi-year transformation.
The $20 million addition introduces a new high-limit lounge, two distinctive bars, a new restaurant called Hot Noods by Chinglish, and a Starbucks coffee shop.
This milestone follows recent enhancements to the property’s Original 47 rooms, Tower Premium Rooms, and casino-floor bathrooms, all part of El Cortez’s ongoing commitment to blending its rich history with modern hospitality.
With 10,000 square feet of added casino space, guests and locals can enjoy new ways to play, with nearly 200 additional slot machines and a new high-limit lounge, providing an exclusive and elevated gaming environment.
Two new bars bring a fresh energy to the casino floor: a roulette bar designed to resemble a giant roulette wheel, and a show bar featuring a stage for live performances and a 20-foot by 10-foot screen playing films, music videos, and live sports.
As part of the expansion, El Cortez welcomed a new Starbucks coffee shop in June 2024, adding a convenient stop for guests looking to refuel between games.

Also added to the casino is Hot Noods, a full-service Asian noodle bar, lending fast-casual comfort food with sake bombs and a lively atmosphere.
