Foxwoods Resort Casino turned 33 years old Saturday, a milestone its owner, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, celebrated by announcing a partnership with Marquee Brands, the holding company that owns the rights to all things Martha Stewart.
Appearing in a video shown on screens outside Foxwoods’ Rainmaker Expo Center, Stewart herself disclosed the news in a taped conversation with Jason Guyot, Foxwoods’ president and chief executive officer.
Stewart said The Bedford by Martha Stewart, a restaurant “concept” Marquee introduced in Las Vegas in 2022, will be coming to Mashantucket this fall.
It will be only the second Bedford. In an interview prior to Saturday’s announcement, Guyot said Foxwoods had reached out to Marquee a couple of years ago, expressing interest in some of the company’s brands, “specifically Martha.”
