Cordish Gaming Group recently announced that Greg Hinton has been appointed vice president of finance for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. The $270 million gaming, dining, hotel and entertainment destination is scheduled to open February 13, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Hinton will oversee financial operations across departments including accounting, analytics, casino cage operations, finance, income and revenue auditing, count rooms, purchasing/warehouse, and scheduling. He will lead financial strategy, development and operational management, guiding the financial health and performance of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.

“Greg’s extensive experience in finance and operations will be invaluable as we prepare for our early 2025 opening,” said Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana Executive Vice President and General Manager John J. Chaszar in a statement. “His leadership will be instrumental in shaping a world-class gaming and entertainment experience that will redefine the industry in Northwest Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex region.”

Hinton began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1983. His most recent role was as Galveston Area Director of Finance for Landry’s, a diversified hospitality, gaming and entertainment company based in Houston, Texas. Previously he served as chief financial officer for Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack, chief financial officer of Coushatta Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and chief financial officer of Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

Hinton also was president and general manager of Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville, Mississippi, vice president and general manager at Penn National Gaming, Inc., and various executive roles with Caesars Entertainment Inc./Harrah’s Entertainment.
