LEDYARD, CT (WFSB) – A Hartford woman was arrested on Sunday in connection with narcotics possession following a traffic stop near Foxwoods Resort Casino.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., officers were conducting a patrol on Route 2 when they observed a gray Toyota Corolla traveling east with a tinted rear marker plate cover.

The vehicle was stopped for the violation, and during the investigation, the front seat passenger, 45-year-old Susan Parreira, was identified.

Suspecting drug activity, officers requested a narcotics detection K9 to respond to the scene.

Parreira admitted to having narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

A search of the car uncovered over 100 wax folds, nine hypodermic syringes, and five crack pipes.

Parreira was taken into custody without incident.

She was held on a $25,000 cash or surety bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on November 18, 2024.
