Alan Keating showed some guts pulling the trigger on what would have gone down as one of the best livestreamed poker bluffs ever during Day 1 of the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game. But he ran into a sticky opponent — Peter Wang — who made an even gutsier call.
The pot nearly hit $2 million in what has already been an action-packed nosebleed stakes cash game. Poker boom era star Erick Lindgren won a $25,000 satellite into the game, but lost about $200,000 within the first few rounds thanks to an early bad beat when Pav rivered a flush to crack his straight. But the top hand thus far in the game, less than two hours after the stream began, was between Keating and Peter, two opponents familiar with each other.
Poker Player Makes Epic Call

The hand began with Peter raising from under the gun with J♥J♣ to $6,000 — six times the big blind. Keating called from the cutoff with Q♠10♦, but Jack, in the small blind with Q♥Q♦, three-bet it to $26,000. Both players called to see a flop of 4♠7♦6♦.
Jack, holding the best hand, continued with a $35,000 wager. Peter called with the over pair, but Keating, who had queen-high and no real draw, raised it to $180,000. That bluff attempt was unsuccessful as both opponents called.
The 2♠ appeared on the turn, no help for any player. Action checked around this time, and the A♦ on the river gave Keating an opportunity to represent a hand that beats queens and jacks.
Jack and Peter again checked, but Keating wasn’t about to just surrender a $621,000 pot. So, he moved all in for $663,000. The bluff initially seemed as if it was going to get through when Jack folded the best hand. Peter went into the tank, and managed to dig deep to find a brilliant call with nothing but one pair that couldn’t even beat the ace on the river.
“Good call, Peter,” Keating told his opponent, who raked in the $1,950,000 pot.
Peter became an instant legend last year during the 2024 Million Dollar Game when he won just under $5 million across three sessions. At the time of publishing on Monday, he was up more than $1.1 million about 90 minutes into the game.
More than 30,000 viewers were tuned in to the Hustler Casino Live YouTube channel early in the stream, which is expected to run until at least midnight PT.
