In a statement yesterday, Suffolk County OTB CEO Phil Boyle would only call it “an unexpected issue that is impacting our ability to operate normally. We are diligently working on the issue.”
Casino officials repeatedly refused to answer questions about specifics.
Suffolk County police were at the casino for most of the day yesterday.
According to posts on the casino’s Facebook page, the facility pushed back its reopening time from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. before it reopened just before 11 p.m. last night.
News 12 reached back out to Suffolk OTB as well as the New York State Gaming Commission for comment early this morning, but has not yet heard back.
