Key Biscayne’s active seniors are at it again, and those who enjoy a little gambling, shopping, and dining are in luck.
The Village of Key Biscayne and the Key Biscayne Community Center are offering a special bus trip to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Wednesday, May 14, for just $5.
The bus will depart from the Community Center at 9:30 a.m., giving seniors a full day to enjoy the world’s first Guitar Hotel, featuring 120,000 square feet of casino space, resort amenities, shops, restaurants and live entertainment.
The outing is part of the Village’s Active Adults Senior Program, where seniors choose a fun destination and the Village provides transportation.
Roxy Lohuis-Tejeda, the Village’s adult and senior services coordinator, said the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino remains a favorite among Key Biscayne’s senior community.
“We try to organize this trip twice a year,” she said. “The seniors have a lot of independence once we arrive. We simply provide transportation back and forth.”
