The Town of Windsor and Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are considering joining a growing list of litigants challenging the U.S. Department of the Interior’s decision to approve a casino and hotel proposed by the Koi Nation near Windsor.

The Board of Supervisors met in closed session on Feb. 11, and the Windsor Town Council met on Wednesday night in closed session. Each session, according to public records, discussed a potential “legal challenge to [the] U.S. Dept. of the Interior’s determination approving a fee-to-trust application for gaming purposes for the Koi Nation of Northern California on … the Shiloh Parcel.”

No decision emerged out of either round of talks.
