A man convicted of robbing a casino employee with a gun will serve more than 17 years in prison.

Clyde Buckley III will be eligible for parole after serving seven years.

A jury convicted him in October 2024 of robbery with a firearm.

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says Buckley had only been out of jail for 11 days after serving a gun-related charge when he robbed a employee at the Circus Circus in January 2024.

During the robbery, Buckley and a second suspect pointed a gun at the victim and dragged her down two flights of stairs before stealing her belongings.

This case is Buckley’s third gun-related conviction.
