The New York-New York Hotel & Casino is set to host its 16th annual St. Baldrick’s Day head-shaving event on the Brooklyn Bridge this Sunday.

The event, which has been a staple in the community’s fight against childhood cancer for over a decade, will feature a lineup of celebrity head shavers.

The schedule included performances and appearances by notable acts such as Terry Fator at 10:30 a.m., the cast of “Potted Potter” at 11:00 a.m., and The Aviator and Spruce the Goose of the Las Vegas Aviators at 11:30 a.m.

St. Baldrick’s event organizer and Director of Retail Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Jason Wooge says “We’re raising money, shaving heads raising money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer and we’re here to combat that. We feel that the child didn’t have a chance to have a full life and really experience what we all have the pleasure of experiencing. It’s important because we’re all in some way affected or touched by cancer.

Other highlights included the men of Chippendales at noon, the cast of “WOW – The Vegas Spectacular” at 12:30 p.m., and Dita Von Teese at 1:30 p.m.

The event continued with the women of FANTASY at 2:00 p.m., the men of Thunder From Down Under at 2:30 p.m., and the cast of “Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil” at 3:00 p.m. The day will conclude with the cast of “MAGIC MIKE LIVE” at 3:30 p.m.

The St. Baldrick’s Day event is part of a larger effort to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research.
