BRISTOL, Va. — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will celebrate its first outdoor Christmas tree lighting at the newly opened facility on Nov. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Area residents are invited to gather with family, friends and neighbors to attend the event, where Hard Rock officials will show gratitude to Bristol’s nonprofit organizations for all the hard work and stewardship they bring to the community, according to a written statement.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will present donations to several local organizations during the event.
“We have so many wonderful nonprofits that serve our region,” said Allie Evangelista, president, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol. “This event is an opportunity for our Hard Rock team to thank these organizations for all they do to support the community.”
Hard Rock and its employees have donated more than $1 million to area nonprofit agencies during the past 28 months during the operation of the former Bristol Casino.

Hard Rock donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross during its recent grand opening ceremonies. The money was to aid support efforts in this region following catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Helene.
Tuesday’s event will feature a performance by Mountain Mission School Choir. There will also be hot cocoa, holiday music, treats and an appearance from Santa during the event.
The grand outdoor tree will be lit as the sun sets.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol just opened its brand new 620,000-square-foot resort destination. The hotel features more than 300 rooms, plus multiple dining destinations, two Rock Shops and the 2,000-seat Hard Rock Live venue for concerts and other events.
The casino includes nearly 1,500 slot machines, over 50 table games and a sportsbook.
The facility is located at 500 Gate City Highway on the site of the former Bristol Mall.
