Paragon Casino Resort and Hotel in Marksville, Louisiana, brought spooky fun to guests last weekend with its annual Monster Ball, the largest Halloween party in the region.
Popular band Bag of Donuts played live music at Paragon Casino Resort and Hotel’s annual Monster Ball
“Coming live action out here at the Paragon Casino in Marksville, I’m a mad scientist you know,” a man from New Orleans told KALB News Channel 5.
Furthermore, the event featured live music from the popular band Bag of Donuts. A competitive costume contest was offered for attendees to show off their most creative designs as well.
“Just looking forward to hearing the band and seeing what everyone else is wearing,” added a woman dressed as a mermaid.
According to the Facebook post, ladies were also able to drink free until 9 p.m. PM! General admission was priced at $10 and VIP table seat tickets were available for $20 on Etix or at the Box Office on the day of the event.
Guests were not allowed to wear masks or face paint on the casino floor
Partygoers were required to be at least 21 years old. Masks, face paint, and costume weapons were not allowed on the casino floor. Guests enjoyed a frightfully fun evening.
Of course, the Monster Ball has become a favorite for locals, drawing a huge crowd every year.
“I am looking forward to judging some of these costumes,” said Marcus Logan with Paragon Casino Resort and Hotel. “There are some wonderful costumes as you can see right here behind you and headed towards the Mari. It’s really a bunch of fun.”
In addition to drinking and dancing, guests also participated in prize drawings throughout the night.
“I am most looking forward to the great music here, the fun, festive vibe,” said a lady decked out as a witch. “And I love it. I come every year.”
In fact, the Monster Ball is expected to be even bigger next year.
