From casino games to a live venue hall to a full-service spa — Caesars Virginia says they’re bringing it all when they officially open on Dec. 12.

Tyree Barksdale is just one of the many who are anxiously waiting for that opening. He says the best part of Caesars Virginia is that it’s a one-stop-shop full of fun.

“It’s everything all in one” Barksdale said. “You don’t really have to go nowhere … you’re right there. You got the hotel, the spa, the restaurants and the casino all in one, so it’s going to be great.”

Barksdale is far from alone — others, like Darrin Curley, said they’re excited to take their families for a night out once the casino opens.

“It brings the family out,” Curley said. ” You can come just eat, drink, relax and it’s just super exciting.”

The casino floor will have 1,500 slot machines, 127 live and electronic table games and a poker room. That’s along with a 320-room hotel tower, a 2,500-seat live venue, spa, pool and more.

Curley is also excited about the casino’s economic impact on his city.

“I think it’s going to bring a lot of revenue to the city and we’re just glad that it’s coming,” Curley said. “It gives us something to do — especially young people.”

The temporary location has already brought in more than $66 million dollars in gaming taxes for the Commonwealth and the city of Danville.

Danville resident Jeff Carson said he can only imagine what the finished product will bring in.

I think it’s been a boon to Danville, and I know that some people are against gambling, but I believe that Danville will take off from this point,” Carson said.
