The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians will have a soft opening for local dignitaries and tribal elders for Crystal Shores Casino in Benzie County, Michigan, at 3 p.m., January 18.

The casino will open to the public at 9 a.m. on January 22, with an official grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting at noon.

“We are thrilled to formally welcome players and guests to Crystal Shores Casino,” Grand Traverse Economic Development Corporation CEO Johnny Barrientoz said in a statement. “This new facility represents a significant milestone, creating much-needed employment opportunities and fostering economic growth for the tribe and the local community.”

The facility features a 2,794-square-foot gaming floor with slot machines such as Buffalo Ascension, Sizzling 7’s, Lock it Link, and Game King Video Poker. Crystal Shores also will provide on-site dining and will integrate into the Grand Rewards program, allowing players to enjoy the benefits available at Grand Traverse sister properties, including Turtle Creek Casino and Leelanau Sands Casino.
