LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The man accused of a deadly shooting at Aliante Casino, then leading police on a high-speed pursuit, will face 28 felony charges.
Aerion Warmsley, 19, appeared in a North Las Vegas Justice Court courtroom Tuesday morning before Judge Belinda Harris, where he was formally charged with the felonies. Court records reveal some of those charges he is facing, including murder with a deadly weapon, several robbery and burglary charges, along with battery charges.
The charges stem from a March 27 crime spree that started with a murder on the casino floor and ended with an arrest at the intersection of Sahara and Boulder Highway. Warmsley also carjacked three separate vehicles throughout the ordeal.
Warmsley and an unidentified person fled the casino in a stolen Mercedes sedan. Police have yet to identify the man who took off on foot after crashing into another vehicle at Spring Mountain Road and Procyon Street, right off the I-15 freeway.
The charges continue to pile up for the suspect. On Tuesday, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office filed three additional charges of kidnapping, coercion and domestic battery. FOX5 is working to find out the background on these new charges out of the Las Vegas Justice Court.
Warmsley will be in front of a Las Vegas judge Wednesday morning on the kidnapping charges. He has another appearance in North Las Vegas on Thursday.
