More details about Tarek El Moussa’s alleged physical altercation in Las Vegas are coming to light.
The “Flip or Flop” alum violently kneed and pummeled a man with several blows to the head during the June 5 incident, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in the police report obtained by TMZ Thursday.
The fight, which was caught on surveillance footage, went down at the Palazzo at the Venetian hotel.
According to police, El Moussa became heated after a man bumped into his father’s chair at a roulette table.
El Moussa’s dad was allegedly offended and turned to stare at the man before returning the game. The man then patted the HGTV star’s father on the shoulder before saying something to him.
At that point, El Moussa, who was sitting nearby, jumped up to intervene. He allegedly pushed the man back and then sprang into a “fighting stance.”
When the man attempted to tackle El Moussa by aiming for his legs, El Moussa kneed him, sending him to the floor.
El Moussa then allegedly jumped on the man’s back and gave him three blows to the head before getting up and walking away.
According to the police report, the alleged victim had bruises under his right eye and a cut on the bridge of his nose. The man claimed to police he was sitting at the roulette table when El Moussa aggressively assaulted him.
When approached by police, the reality star told officers that he got involved to “protect his dad due to him having back problems.” Cops declined to arrest El Moussa on the scene but read him his Miranda rights.
Reps for El Moussa did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
News of the “Flip or Flop” star’s alleged altercation surfaced on Tuesday after he was cited for battery by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Witnesses claimed to TMZ that they saw El Moussa, 43, knee the man in the head, rendering him unconscious.
An onlooker claimed the beating was “bad” and added that the guy looked seriously hurt. The alleged victim reportedly refused medical attention.
A source told Page Six that El Moussa was “protecting his elderly father” after the man allegedly got out of line with the real estate investor’s dad.
It appears the incident took place while the HGTV star was on vacation with his wife Heather Rae Young and their family.
The “Selling Sunset” alum, 37, shared a snaps from their trip on Instagram around the same time, telling her followers that it was “not [their] average” trip to Sin City.
“Watched Tarek do his thing on stage (so proud!) and made it extra special by bringing our parents along for the ride,” she captioned the post, neglecting to mention the altercation.
“We got to show them a glimpse behind the scenes — our world, our work, and of course, the glam. Grateful for these moments that we get to spend together. 🥂✨,” she closed.
