Tucker Wetmore is having a milestone moment. Following his first-ever nomination for ACM New Male Artist of the Year, the rising country star has released his latest single ‘Casino,’ the final preview before his highly anticipated debut album ‘What Not To’ which drops on April 25. This week also marks the one-year anniversary of his RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, ‘Wind Up Missin’ You.’
Written by Josh Jenkins, Alex Palmer, John Pierce, and Michael Tyler, ‘Casino’ brings a high-stakes spin to heartbreak, comparing love to an addictive gamble where the odds are never in his favor. With a slick, neon-lit sound and an unforgettable hook, the track is a soundtrack for anyone who has ever risked it all on the wrong person.
Wetmore’s rapid rise in country music has been undeniable. Earlier this year, ‘Wind Up Missin’ You’ became his first No. 1 at country radio, and his current single, ‘3,2,1,’ debuted as the most-added song on country radio with 73 first-week stations. Now climbing the charts, it further solidifies his place as one of the genre’s most in-demand new voices.
His upcoming debut album is a 19-track collection that reflects on the highs, lows, and lessons learned throughout his 25 years. Produced by Chris LaCorte, the album is woven together with interconnected themes that Wetmore describes as “like red yarn connecting a bunch of pins on a wall.” At its heart is the title track, ‘What Not To,’ a deeply personal song about struggle, compassion, and salvation, highlighted by the poignant lyric, “Momma said you don’t pray no more / breaks my heart, so I do it for you.”
Wetmore’s success has extended beyond the U.S., as he recently brought his high-energy live show overseas for multiple performances at Country 2 Country (C2C), including a sold-out stop at London’s Electric Ballroom. His Waves on a Sunset Tour 2025 continues through May, and this summer, he will join Thomas Rhett’s Better in Boots Tour 2025 as direct support across 33 dates.
