REDDING, Calif. – 66-year-old Edward Leroy Gravelle and 38-year-old Megan Marie Slack were arrested by Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies early Saturday morning in the Win-River Casino parking lot.
Assistance to the responding sheriff’s deputies was provided by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office AB 109 Compliance Team and the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF).
Deputies detained the Redding residents in the Win-River parking lot at approximately 2:30 Saturday morning. The deputies then learned that Edward Leroy Gravelle was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for “being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.”
A search of the vehicle resulted in more than 2 ½ ounces of suspected methamphetamine, ammunition, and “items indicative of narcotic sales.”
Gravelle, a prior-convicted felon, was booked for violation of his PRCS terms for having ammunition in his possession, for possessing a control substance for the purpose of sales, and for a Proposition 36 violation for a fresh narcotics charge with two prior narcotics convictions.
Megan Marie Slack was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and “delaying/resisting deputies during the investigation.”
