Wynn Resorts’ eponymous venue on the Las Vegas Strip is synonymous with glitz and luxury and it has the accolades to prove it.
In its latest ratings, Luxury Lifestyle Magazine ranked The Wynn as the most prestigious casino hotel in Las Vegas. Metrics included amenities, architecture, interior design, size of casino floors, and quality of service. The publication acknowledged that while Wynn’s exterior design isn’t as stunning as some of the other casino resorts on the Strip, it more than makes up for it on the inside.
Famous for its artificial mountain, its beautiful lake, the height of its hotel tower and its non-themed architecture and interior design, the venue’s prestige is a result of its excellent facilities, five-star service, and elegant casino rooms, which feature a diverse array of table games and slots to suit all tastes,” according to Luxury Lifestyle.
Wynn and Encore Las Vegas are two of the most awarded casino hotels in the US. They’re also among the most expensive with recent data suggesting average daily room rates of about $500 — a figure that fluctuates depending on demand and the event calendar.
Why Wynn Ranking Matters
There’s no shortage of hotel rankings and they’re all subjective. When it comes to customers, there’s not much in the way of uniformity. Some patrons concur that Wynn and Encore are tops on the Strip while others favor other integrated resorts.
Still, the Luxury Lifestyle ranking of Wynn as the most prestigious Las Vegas casino hotel is meaningful for several reasons. Not only is it the latest in a long line of accolades for the venue, but it adds to operator’s reputation for delivering top-tier non-gaming amenities.
From the perspectives of corporate finance and investing, Wynn’s Las Vegas prestige is important because it confirms the operator has more chapters to its story than Macau — the lens through which the stock is typically viewed. The company’s other domestic property is Encore Boston Harbor, which has also developed a knack for awards and high rankings in just a few years of operation.
The Luxury Lifestyle ranking also bolsters Wynn’s status as one of the most recognizable and valuable casino gaming brands in the world.
Bellagio, Venetian Score Well, Too
Luxury Lifestyle’s ratings also included the Bellagio and the Venetian, both of which source inspiration from Italy. Bellagio, which is owned by Blackstone and operated by MGM Resorts International, ranked second on the magazine’s list.
“The architects behind this impressive project were inspired by the charming yet opulent village of Bellagio near Lake Como in Italy — and in fact, many casino architects in Las Vegas have been inspired by Italy and pay homage to Italian culture in their work, including those taking the helm in bringing the Venetian to life,” according to the publication.
The Venetian, which is owned by VICI Properties and operated by private equity giant Apollo Global Management, placed third behind Wynn and Bellagio.
